Food was BANGIN' son! Trust meeeeeeee!!!!!
Tasty food, I went with the Lamb Rogan heat 6. Probably could have gone with more. It got the sweat beads poppin though. Garlic Naan was on point. The service was great and attentive. Portion size was perfect, not to much and too little. I will back again. Maybe next time I will go for dessert, but with pools opening back up I am trying to get back to my thong weight. Give Darbar a shot you'll be glad you did.
Interesting menu. We wished our take out was a little hotter. It seemed kind of bland.
The staff was so plesant and the food was delicious, our experience here was the best!
Service was excellent. So thorough and attentive that I felt a little guilty for being treated so well! The food was excellent. Spice level just where I hoped it was. I could eat the naan every day for the rest of my life. Thanks for being one of the restaurants open for business during this difficult time. We got pushed off by a number of other places before we found you.
We have tried their weekend buffet a few times, and each visit left us with a food coma - tasty food, decent service, okay ambiance, relaxed environment. We usually go for a walk by the water in Fells or Canton after our meal here.
Great budget indian buffet. Really attentive service.
I visited yesterday with friends and I had an amazing time. Everyone was extremely polite and very wonderful to be around. I was celebrating my birthday. The food was wonderful and the staff went above and beyond giving me a cake! I can not recommend Darbar enough!
Garlic naan was superb, and I loved the main entree. The service was top notch. Highly recommend!
Had Indian food here during stay at Baltimore. Excellent Authentic India Dishes with great service & taste.Must try for all fan of Indian food.
The food and service were great! We visited during buffet hours (which I highly recommend). There was a large variety of foods and many options for vegetarians.
I've been going to the lunch buffet for a year (cheap, delicious, vegetarian/vegan options!) and keep coming back. Today I went after work for the dinner menu and it was splendid. My friends and I had garlic naan, appetizers, a main course, dessert, and wine. Everything from service, atmosphere, food, and price was fantastic. Come to the Darbar and fall in love with Indian cuisine!
Incredible service and better food! The waiter was accommodating and helpful to a vegan member of our party, and threw in a free dessert as well. Overall a great experience and we will be back.
Great food and service!
One of the best Indian restaurant in Washington area, clean place with excellent customer service, they have a nice smile and the prices are affordable, I will come back again .
This is a gem place in the city. Limited options yet tasty. Food is not spicy for folks concerned about that. Feels like home food!
The place is not gaudily advertised. I was unsure of what to expect. Upon arriving, our server was prompt and would have kept stuffing us with baskets of maddeningly addictive papadum. Our food was delicious with a slow building spice that keeps you going back for more. The fact that there were no raisins in the biryani alone deserves a star. Service was great and the atmosphere very condusive to conversation.
Definitely order the Punjabi samosa chaat—it’s sweet with heat. And the Darbar Chicken curry was another wonderfully full flavor.
The absolute best Indian food in Fells Point! The samosa chaat app is insanely delicious. We love the Tikka masala and the vindaloo, as well as the naan! The service is always excellent too, whether we're dining in or taking out!
We are a large group and love dining at Darbar! The staff are so nice, always so accommodating and really go the extra mile. When not sure what to order their recommendations are spot on and the food is delicious with generous portions.I also highly recommend the lunch buffet! Love tasting a wide variety of dishes at a very good price. Thank you Darbar, we’ll be back again very soon! Wishing you all the best and Happy New Year 2020!
Great customer service. Food is delicious.
Omg!!!!! I love Indian food but this restaurant makes it to PERFECTION! I ordered delivery so I don’t know what the restaurant looks like but my food came VERY NEATLY PACKED!!!! Everything was neatly done OMG!!!!! If I could give you more than five stars I would!!!! Very few restaurants have met my expectations but this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Thank you very much for your service!!!!
The food is really fresh and apt amount. The taste is really good and spice levels are awesome. Vegetarians also have good options
Loved the food. The lamb curry was really tasty and the lamb biryani was absolutely delicious with lamb beautifully cooked.
Just perfect. The service, the food, and the environment.Highly recommended for those who want to try Indian cuisine.
Went here on my birthday and had a great time! Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. All meals come with complimentary wine and I also got a free birthday treat which was special. Will be back soon!
We had a great experience here on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered from the menu. The waiter was quite helpful in guiding us in response to our questions. I've eaten in many Indian restaurants. The food at Darbar ranks at the top!
The food and service was amazing here! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for some tasty Indian food. The restaurant was very well put together and our server was very attentive to us. Best Indian cuisine in Baltimore!
This place is around the corner from my house and is the first place I ate when my family moved to Baltimore. That was six months ago, and we've returned to Darbar many times in that span. The food is on par with that of the best Indian restaurants I've had in different cities. The service is impeccable. I highly recommend it!
Incredible food. Just a fair warning: Medium spice is probably a bit too spicy (both “hot” and “lots of spice”) for people not accustomed to spicy food.
Great food. Great service. Will be back!!! I'm especially thankful for the birthday cake with a candle they brought out for me and put on an instrumental happy birthday music track on the sound system when they brought it out. Very nice surprise and classy execution. Thank you! :D
My daughter and I loved Darbar! #1 is the excellent staff, they truly do care that their customers have a great meal and a special time at their restaurant. Several pleasant surprises throughout the meal, plis great food and a very nice atmosphere... What more could anyone want?
My little sister and I come here often. AMAZING food and AMAZING service! Our waiter is super nice, always recognizes us when we come in, and always makes us feel welcome. The food is delicious and well seasoned and prepared. Darbar is a hidden little gem that I think everyone should check out! I guarantee it’s worth your while
Incredible service and the food was also awesome! Everything came out quickly. I have a hard time with spicy food but love Indian food and was able to order my favorite dish without any spicy heat. It was awesome and can’t wait to come back!
I wasn’t a big fan of Indian food and hadn’t had any in a long time. That changed today at Darbar. My waiter was AWESOME the food was fantastic and the restaurant was in clean and pristine condition. I ordered buttered chicken hot and it was out of this world. My waiter continually offered to help explain any dishes or recommend if necessary to us. Anyone who doesn’t rate this place a 5 is out of their mind....I cannot wait to return and try some of their other dishes...beyond impressed with everything
We had a celebration dinner at Darbar last night - the food was delicious and the service wonderful! There was an abundance of delicious food and we had some to take home. I have one suggestion though - the food would fare much better if transported in a sealed container as opposed to a styrofoam carrier. We had a lot of waste as it wound up leaking into the bag. We will be back!
Helpful staff! Great food. Samosas with tamarind are great!
Amazing experience here! The food was absolutely delicious! Our main dishes, appetizer, and naan bread were all so yummy. We were also offered a complimentary glass of wine.We were able to sit at a nice outdoor table and our waiter was mindful of social distancing and wore a mask the entire time. Our service was fantastic. Our waiter was prompt and super friendly. He gave us wonderful recommendations about which dishes to try and accommodated all requests. We will definitely be returning here to eat many times!
Friendly staff. Very helpful and communicative about the different dishes on the menu. Overall some of the best Indian food we’ve had in Maryland. 10/10 would def recommend.
Oct-5-2019: We were visiting a friend new to Baltimore. Andrew found Darbar knowing that we like Indian buffets. Most of my family prefers mild spice. While some may prefer heat, my wife said that this was her favorite Indian food ever. She was happy that there was a lot of flavor without being too spicy. The cost for our daughters; 12 and 7 was very generous! Naan was available on the buffet, but Darbar delivered fresh plain and garlic naan to our table.Andrew ordered take out for his fiance. Later that evening he sent a text saying that she enjoyed her lunch very much and there was enough for the two of them to share for supper.Totally recommend Darbar anyone wanting to try Indian food for the first time and for families with a range of spicy hot tolerance.Great flavor, generous portions and nice casual atmosphere.
Went a couple weeks ago for the first time with a friend. Great experience! The server was super helpful and knowledgeable of the menu items. I highly recommend asking for their suggestions. I'm no stranger to Indian cuisine, but it never hurts to ask what the staff like. Was not disappointed, and I tried something new!! There is a lot of consideration for spiciness level, and there are options for everyone depending on preference. Hope to be back soon!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner here. I’ve been to India twice and this food is definitely authentic! The service was courteous and attentive, and the complementary glass of wine was a bonus. We’ll definitely come back!
Just finished dinner here and it was honestly one of the best Dining experiences I’ve ever had. The waiter treated us like we were important family and dinner featured complimentary wine and dessert. The food was authentic and delicious. The suggestions made by our waiter were all amazing and I felt like we really got a taste of authentic food and hospitality. We’re going to be back soon, for sure!
It's a quiet restaurant that does a fair amount of take out business, not a lively crowd inside. None of that matters though because their food A-mazing. I went with a group of friends and we ordered 5 different dishes between us, they were all superb. The butter chicken and lamb tikka masala were to die for. I've been dreaming of the lamb since I finished the last of it as leftovers earlier today. Easily the best Indian food between Canton and Fells.
We were so hopeful with this place being a couple blocks away but we were sadly disappointed. The sauce tasted like ketchup surprise and the chicken korma had spice but VERY little flavor! The rice was super dry and flavorless. We also order the garlic naan and the garlic was dry garlic flakes. If you want great Indian food order from Mt. Everest in Hampden.
Excellent authentic Indian food! And great service for being an Indian restaurant! If you are in the area must go! Water refills without asking, constant check backs, really feel valued guests! Thank you team Darbar! Keep up the great work!!
The menu and service were ahead of my expectations. We absolutely loved the ambience of this spot. Fantastic spot to take the family out for lunch.
Went with my son last night....we were there as they opened (5pm)....greeted and seated by the owners brother as if he were welcoming us into his home. The food was DELICIOUS....and he presented it with pride but also with caring as to our opinion of it. Food and service 5 stars....cleanliness 5 stars...he even brushed off crumbs between courses....will definitely go back....often!
Excellent food in an unassuming environment. Or second time here and I already can't wait to come back. Service is exceptional to boot
Had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Darbar tonight. I had been to this restaurant for lunch in the past (highly recommend the all-you-can-eat Buffett), but I was excited to see what the dinner experience was like! Safe to say I was NOT disappointed!!! The service was EXCEPTIONAL. It was undeniably some of the best service I've ever received! Wish I had gotten his name. But after providing us with complimentary wine, we dined on delicious samosa chaat and garlic naan bread. Our main courses were the tikka masala (I'm still new to Indian cuisine) and chicken xacuti (spicy and flavorful). I seriously am just sitting at home beaming about the whole experience. I think the restaurant recently switched hands, the owner being our waiter's brother. Although I'm not sure how Darbar was before, I sure do love it now!!
